"Welcome board members of InGen. You have all been brought here because of the recent death of a certain- Michell Ramirez. She was killed yesterday on Isla Rozona. Some of you may know that this was the location of Site C. While Site A was created for the actuall park and Site B was created for the production of the animals, Site C was consturcted for research and the development of technology and different gene strands. Now, the third and final site has been discovered. Finially, we will be able to take this burden off of our shoulders. A task force is alreayd being formed and shall reach the Isle in approximently two days."

The man in the dark suit turned as he looked at dark silhouette of the small picutres placed on the over-head.

"And may God have mercy on their souls," he muttered under his breath.

<hr>

Brian Summers sat in his small lab area in the back of the Arizona Department of Research located in the lowest level of the University of Arizona. He had been up late working on a new skeleton shot of a velociraptor and still could not seem to find the pectoral bone in the large mess of dirt and mud.

Suddenly the phone rang. It was a jolt to him-- re-alerting his senses and bringing him back to the modern world; something he wasn't very fond of.

"Yes?" he answered the phone calmly.

"Brian Summers?" the voice asked from the other end of the phone.

"Yes," he replied.

The conversastion continued on that way. 'How are you?' 'What ya' workin' on?'. Suddenly his eyes widdened.

"Yes, of course. I've heard so much about it-- I would be happy to."

And with that he hung up the phone and grabbed his stuff on the way out to find a cab willing to take him to LAX at this time in the morning.

~ Dillon ~ 01

On a warm sunny day a cool breeze blows in over the ocean into the quiet top floor condo of Sea Cliff Estates.

The private line rings - a rare occurance.
A man picks up the phone.
"Dillon? We have a problem at IGEN site C. We need you to look into it.
As usual - the fees's are being deposited now. Get to LAX, flight number (blah blah blah)......
Will you make it?"

"Ya.. I'll look into it" he replied.
"I'll be taking along a new rep.
Standard fee - put it in my account"
he hung up.

He was Dillon. I was Dillon. TSA-1911.
Troubleshooter. Specialist, Agent. Badge 1911. Some called me the 911 guy.

I looked at Saria. She was strong and healthy again. Looked like a million bucks.
Well hell, she'd looked like that chewed up and full of blood.
But she looked ready for action again.
Three months of swiming in the ocean, running on beach and Dojo workouts would do that to you.
She'd rested, recovered and lounged `n` loved.
It'd helped me too. The leg and shoulder were both fully healed and no longer bothering me.
Just the nightmares.

I looked at her, she at me. It was the first time the phone had rang since she'd been here.
"We have a job if you want in." I said all business.

I moved toward the back room to pack.
We'd take the private jet to LAX. Then from LAX out of country, with whoever else was going.

Yep.. time so solve another problem.
What now I wonder. Hadn't IGEN caused enough troulbe in the past ten years?

OOC: It's like dawn of the dead... JUST when Unknown thought it was safe.. We pop up and bite him in the ass. I love this. Let's get this baby on the roooooaaaad! W00t!

~ Saira Halliwell ~

The warm sun shown through the window as the soft, cool breeze drifted into the windows of the top floor sea mansion. At least that's what it had seemed like. Everything was so blissful here, so at ease... It was like the nightmares had ended only to burn into the sweetest dream...

The phone rang, something I hadn't heard at all since I'd been here. "Ya.. I'll look into it I'll be taking along a new rep.
Standard fee - put it in my account." Dillon had said before a pause followed by his hanging up.

No 'Hello.' No, 'Hi, how are you?'

He looked over at me for a moment, as though evaluating me for some reason or another. The past three months had done us both good, time healing everything but our souls, into which scars run deep.

"We have a job if you want in." He said as his eyes caught mine only to tear away as he'd walked into the back room.

With a bit of a pout, I followed him, clad in next to nothing but the wear of underness and a nightshirt big enough for me to swim in. There were plenty of more appropriet things for me to wear here, but I decided to go with what was comfortable over what looked good. Besides, I'd just woken up...

He'd already had a pretty good deal of whatever he'd intended to take along with him packed and was bent partially over to place another item of clothing into his luggage when I decided to worm my way under one of his arms only to end up caged inbetween them.

"What kind of job?" I smirked playfully before tilting my head on up to meet his with a playful bite to the lip, "Mmm, And what's the Standard fee?"

OOC: AH!!! NO! NOT ALLOWED IN THIS RPG! I'm gonna break it up in my own special way!

~Travis Walker~

I checked the torn page of the phone book as I walked down the empty street. Wow, these were high quality houses, this guy must've had a really high-paying job.

I checked the address on the paper with the one on the house. Yep, it was the right one.

I shouldered the backpack, approached the door, and rang the bell.

"MR. D! IT'S TRAVIS! I'VE GOT MY MOVE DOWN!"

Saria snuggled under my arm - hugging close, taking my attention away from packing.
"What kind of job?" she asked playfully, before kissing me. "Mmm, And what's the Standard fee?"

I smiled and replied.
"Its classified so no talky talky in public.
Dinosaurs - big nasties like the alligator we saw in Racoon City.
They have a problem at an island facility.
We are to troubleshoot the problem."

"Standard freelance fee is: $150K. Half up front, half when the jobs done.
Standard fee for one of mine: $400K. All up front.
Plus with me, you get a bonus of 10% of the Balance Due when mission complete.
Balance Due is determined by how much hell I have to go through to complete the job."

For you.. there still another bonus.. Me."
"Now pack. Its time to think about Reptiles.
How they hunt, eat, mate, and how to kill great big ones."

She looked at me, pouting. I was about to put packing aside for awhile for other considerations...

Then there was a knock at the door.
MR. D! IT'S TRAVIS! I'VE GOT MY MOVE DOWN!"

I went to the door... it was Travis Walker.
Opening the door I looked at him in surprise.. Travis.. what up?

"Sir!" I said as Mr. D answered the door. "I've got my move down, you know, the one you told me to practice? I've got it done!" I said as I pulled peices of a life sized dummy out from my backpack.

"Uh... Travis, this isn't the best of times to be doing-"

"Not to worry sir! I'll only take a minute!"

"But Travis-"

"Ta-da!" I said, presenting the dummy, a vague effegy of a bully. "I built it myself!"

"Yes, that's nice, but-"

"Just a moment!" I said, positioning the dummy into a threatening pose.

I grabbed it's arm and pulled, causing its head to lower, which I stepped up onto and used my weight to leap off of it. However, the dummy's leg came up and hit me in the stomach. I hit the ground ungracefully and quickly got to my feet.

"Well, I still have to work on the last part..." I said slowly. "But I swear! It worked this one time..."

~ Dillon ~ 03

I watched Travis attempt the move on the home made dummy.
The boy was motivated, he practiced constantly, and was advancing rapidly.

But he was still stuggling with the last part of the series move he was trying.

"Well, I still have to work on the last part..." he said slowly. "But I swear! It worked this one time..."

"Travis" I said, "its not working because of the size and stability of the dummy."
"Your move is correct, but the move implies the opponent/agressor is larger and moving towards you"
"See like this" and I moved towards him allowing him to slow motion the move at me. "Very good"
"Remember to see the whole move as if your above looking down, understand the reason first"
"Then making the move itself is almost natural."

"Hey can you deliver a secret message Mr. Tan at the Dojo for me?" I asked ' Please tell him to open the armory and prep the Heavy Saguna - with full pop loads.
Ms. Saria and I are going on Safari, we'll be down to pick up the gear shortly"

Travis nodded, said "sure" and moved off, motioning his hands and arms as if executing the move.

I watched him head down the stairs thinking - he'll be a master one day if he keeps working like that...

I hung a sign on the computer screen in the far room.
"Sara - Gone on Safari. Please take care of Rosa, $$ in the usual place if you need anything."

Then I headed back into the other room to help Saria... and pack.

It was awesome!

Mr. D had actually asked me to get something for him! I ran all-out to the dojo where I exhaustedly explained what he wanted to Mr. Tan, who nodded grimly and went into the back room.

I was ecstatic, the only thing I had to do was get some beer for my dad, however, the fastest way was through one of the worst parts of town.

Yes, it was the bad part of town, but I was used to it.

I entered the shop at exactly the wrong time. As I was taking the beer from the cooler, a man barged in and threatened the cashier, who immeadiatly gave up the money.

I chucked the bottle at the man, it cracked over his head, soaking him. He turned to me and I saw exactly what I didn't want to see.

A knife.

He charged at me, the blade raised. Time to pull my move, I grabbed his arm-

The knife plunged itself into my arm, I dropped the guy and he ran out from the store, with me after him.

My arm was bleeding, I needed a doctor badly.

I ran home, my hand wrapped around my bleeding arm. I burst into the house. "Dad! We need to call a docter or something! T- There was this robbery and-"

"Where's my drink?"

"D- Dad, I'm bleeding! We need to get a doc-"

"WHERE'S MY DRINK!?"

My dad stepped out from the other room, I could tell right away that he was high, the faint smell of crack in the air, his pupils dialated, and the overall vibe of despair.

I knew not to get on his bad side when he was like this, but what could I do?

"Do you have my drink or not, boy?" he said, looming over me.

I paniced, "NO!" I yelled.

I didn't even see his fist coming, it nailed me on the side of my face.

"You spent my beer money on those things again didn't you!? I told you not to do that!"

"Those magazines can get us out of here! They can tell us how to save our mo-"

Another fist hit me in the stomach, the taste of bile filled my mouth but I held it in, God knew what would happen if I puked on him.

"DON'T YOU TELL ME WHAT TO DO!" he yelled at me. "GET OUT OF HERE! AND DON'T COME BACK!"

I bolted for the door, when his temper cooled down, he'd let me back in.

On the way out, I saw a bag stuffed with fine white powder, oh god, he'd be on that stuff for about a week...

An lamp exploded on the wall next to me.

"GET OUT!!!"

I opened and slammed the door behind me, I ran as fast as could, I didn't know where I would go, I just had to get away. I heard my father's footsteps following me. They died down after a while, the crack did that to him...

I stopped at the dojo, out of breath, and collapsed at the rear of the building, still clutching my bleeding arm.

I had to stop and catch my breath... Too much running... way too much...

ooc: So you guys are going to turn this into a REII, eh? I just planned on using the same name- different persona, but let's do this.

ic:

+-+ Brian Summers +-+

I rode in the small Volvo towards the 2B exit. My stiff leg held down the heavy pedal, the knee joint bending slightly inwards. Although both of my legs had fully healed and I could even run on them now, each knee cap had three pins in it. My braces had only been removed two or three months ago.

"There it is," I thought aloud as I made the short banking turn into the terminal's parking lot. I decended a few floors under, looking for a good parking space, as I thought back to things un-spoken of.

I shook my head, not daring to elaborate on that thought. My eyes focused past the dash bored onto the car in front of me. The one pulling out...

"****!"

I swirved to the right. My front grill narrowly missed the lights of the reversing car as my tires squeeled and I spun around the manuevering van.

"Watch where you're going!" I heard a muffled voice from the other side of the glass window yell.

I ignored him as I pulled beatifuly into a small space reserved for compact cars on the left side of the garage.

Exiting the car, I deftly moved towards the elevator as my briefcase hung lightly at my side and my backpack rested gently on my shoulders.

I was just a kid. I had only turned 29 a few months ago...

And yet, I was about to see something 65 million years in the making...

~ Dillon ~

The thought of turning pro must have scared Saria. It was a different approach for her.
Initially I guess she hadn't planned on staying this long but things change sometimes.

She'd been notified by official courier that she'd been put out on indefinate medical leave
- pending voluntary return.

The note also reflected the company's sorrow at hearing her former boss had passed away.
Seems he committed suicide in his office just tthree days after our return to New Dove City.
It was the corporations way of acknowledging they'd screwed up.
That her mid level boss had tried to get her killed.

Yes, I'd made the call. It wasn't personal.
I'd called to let him know I was dissapointed in him and the new corporate policy.
Killing your own agents for what they knew was against the rules.
The ones I followed anyway.

The message was simple -
That it was him, by him. or him, his wife, his kids, and his champion show dogs by me.
It was his choice.

He'd made it simple. The wife and kids got the corporate insurance policies.
Saria got extended vacation and a job back whenever she wanted it. If ever.

My thoughts turned to things professionial as I watched the lusty woman dress.
I got my traveling cloths on and packed most of the field gear I thought we need in two packs.

The small arms, ammo, and explosives went into the securable chest.
Properly coded and labeled, it would breeze through security without a customs check.
They'd know by the codes what it was and that it was govenment approved.

I swatted Ms. Sultry on the hiney and hauled the chest out to the Land Rover.
She smiled and followed with the packs, sticking her tounge out.
We got along alright. Things were working.

In the Rover..I dialed a number at the local hanger.
"Ya, its Dillon. Prep the jet, file for LAX. maybe return or refile, know when we get there."
"Thanks - See you in thirty minutes or so."

We headed off to the Dojo. Upon arrival, as expected Mr. Tan had the special gear all prepped.

The Saguna Sniper Rilfe was hand crafted and highly customized.
The rounds were .50 cal exposive rounds.
The sights were friggin unblievable, capable of scoping a knat's ass at 1000 yards.

There were also more explosives ready.
The all went into the chest, with extra handguns and ammo.

The chest went into the Rover, and we were ready to go.

We went back inside briefly to wrap up a few things with Mr. Tan, and then jumped into the Rover and headed out.

The call had indicated a few others being assigned. Were we meeting at LAX or at site C?

Hmmm.. I wondered if were any agents I knew.

Exhausted, bleeding, ejected from my home, and in the dirt behind the dojo, I couldn't help but wonder what I, in my full seventeen years of existance, ever did to deserve the situation I was currently in.

I went through a long five minutes of thought, of how nobody could like a short, skinny, not the best looking, and overall puniest of people.

Dillon...
Mr. D didn't hate me. He actually saw me for the person I was, not just a scawny teenager from the bad part of town.

I decided that I had to find his place before he left his place to pick up his things...

Oh...

My...

God...

Not only had Mr. D come, he had loaded his Jeep up to the brim with firearms.

Have you ever had an impulse to see something as powerful as a gun up close? Well, before I knew it, I was in the back of the Rover, looking over the powerful firearm in my hand.

I heard the dojo door ring, I was in plain sight!!! I jammed the gun in it's slot in the locker it was stored in, slammed the door shut and ducked under the backseat behind it.

If anyone saw me with a gun, they'd probably think I'd went Colombine...

I looked at Saria while driving. "Plane will be prepped by the time we get there."
"The stop over at LAX private terminal will determine if we take this jet all the way in or if we transfer."
"We may be giving a lift to others. The call referenced a small task force, but I don't know who yet."

"Need anything else before we go?" "I sure wished we had more difinitive mission paramaters."

I smiled at her, reached over squeezed her thigh, and winked.

OOC: Not exactly... It's in the planning stages. We'll let you know when we figure it out. o.o; But yes, They are the RE survivors.

~ Saria Halliwell ~

He smiled before speaking,"Its classified so no talky talky in public. Dinosaurs - big nasties like the alligator we saw in Racoon City. They have a problem at an island facility. We are to troubleshoot the problem. Standard freelance fee is: $150K. Half up front, half when the jobs done. Standard fee for one of mine: $400K. All up front. He paused before adding, "For you.. there still another bonus.. Me. Now pack. Its time to think about Reptiles. How they hunt, eat, mate, and how to kill great big ones."

I pouted. Zombies were real and Dinosaurs were alive. Either way, it would mean less time spent in the heavenly comfort of his home and his arms, and more chaos in hell.

Dillon looked like he was about to reconsider the packing bit when a knock came at the door, "MR. D! IT'S TRAVIS! I'VE GOT MY MOVE DOWN!"
I'd arched an eyebrow.
Mr.D?
He'd conversed with some kid outside before comming back in.

I could have stayed behind while we went off if I wanted to... Medical leave wouldn't burn up, I'd be welcomed back to my old job without questions asked. At least, that's what I'd been told. Weather or not they expected me to buy it was a totally different story.

Same person who told me I could have as much medical leave as my heart desired also told me my boss committed suicide. Sometimes I suspected that Dillon had had a hand in it, while others I was just glad the bastard was dead.

I sighed while Dillon made his way back into the room and started to get dressed. Wouldn't do to run around dressed in nothing but one of his shirts and some undies. Easily enough to remedy.

Dillon paused where he was for a moment, either doing something or watching me, neither would have come as a big shock. He'd turned his attention back to his packing and had moved on from clothes to weaponry.

When satisfied with that, he'd come out from behind the chest and landed me one of those playful swats to the rump. I shook my head and grabbed the packs, following him with my tongue hanging out.
Not that he saw my tongue as much of a threat.

Things between us had been great. Not only on the physical end, that I won't go into. I'd come to know more of him as a person even if there were still some questions he left unanswered.

So I stopped asking a while ago, and found we got along much better without. Another amazing discovery was- You didn't need a life or death situation to make adrenaline pump in this house.

But that's beside the point.

Soon as we'd gotten into the Land Rover, Dillon dialed a number to some place, "Ya, its Dillon. Prep the jet, file for LAX. maybe return or refile, know when we get there...Thanks - See you in thirty minutes or so."

The car turned on as we drove down to the Dojo. That place was still a little strange for me to be in. The time I'd spent in there while recovering and getting myself back together hadn't changed much about how I felt for the place.

Soon as we got there, Dillon's friend -whose name I forget- had things ready to roll and a chest to put into the Rover.

We'd gotten out to briefly speak to the man, Whose name I recalled to be Mr. Tan... I'd left before Dillon did, giving him time to say anything else he needed to before getting back into the rover and buckling up.

Dillon got in and got us going, we'd been on the road only a few minutes when he spoke, "Plane will be prepped by the time we get there. The stop over at LAX private terminal will determine if we take this jet all the way in or if we transfer. We may be giving a lift to others. The call referenced a small task force, but I don't know who yet." He paused, "Need anything else before we go? I sure wished we had more difinitive mission paramaters."

He smiled and reached over, his hand gripping my thigh which he slightly squeezed with a wink. Simply to be evil, I'd undone my seatbelt and leaned over towards him, my hand sneaking it's way up his inner thigh as my lips stole a kiss or two from his neck... "Come to think of it...I could name a thing or two I need.." I smirked.

He shot me one of those, 'Oh God Saria, Please.. Anytime But When I'm driving' looks I seemed to have gotten so often. Satisfied with my evil self, I withdrew to let him drive and situated myself back in my seat, buckling up and so on.

Another look from him and I couldn't help but giggle, "Cruel *****..." He said as he shook his head. A grin splayed across his features as his eyes went back to the road.

"Aww, Dillon, I love you too..." I laughed.

~ Dillon ~

She giggled - a lovely sound.
"Cruel *****..." I replied, a grin spalyed across my face.
"Aww, Dillon, I love you too..." I laughed.

Thinking about that was good. Then other thoughts came to mind.
About the numbers, the trip, the risks. the problems.
"You never told me what you were making before - but I assume you have no problem with the $400K freelance fee?"

I looked over at her...

"Or are you in it for the bonus...?"

I'd time'd the question, so it came as we were pulling into the private terminal of the airport .
She'd have time to ponder that one before answering.

The relationship was like that..
Tease upon tease upon tease.
We were serious on the job, and I guess in bed. Everything was up for grabs.

It seemed to work.

I pulled up next to the plane and got out.
The ground crew was just finishing prepping the jet. Nicole the planes captain was checking her out.

There some packs and a trunk chest in back of the rover, please see their loaded.
Their normal routine was to store the Rover in or near the private hanger until our return.
Saria and I headed into the hanger office
to use the phone.

I made the call - 'Yeah, It's Dillon -
Listen I need a secure link channel, data on the sight - mission paramaters."
"yeah.. we be connecting in about 10...
right... who else is coming? Really?"
"Yes I recognize the name. May be same guy. We'll see."

I hung up the phone... paused a moment -
then had the office conduct a page and escort for 'Brian Summers'.
"He's arriving at LAX - have him brought here vice any other flight'. Yes, reroute his luggage here too."

I looked at Saria.. "Might well be the same guy? Small damn world huh?"
I smiled took her hand and we strolled out to the Lear Jet.

Once on board, we had the captain and attendent fire up the onboard briefing system.
It was a state of the art, communicaitons & broadband system projected on a very large flat panel high definition monitor.

I turned to Saria - "Lets start looking at the site and what we can expect to see there."

"Or are you in it for the bonus...?" Dillon had said.

I thought I knew the answer right away, but uncertianty had always clouded my judgement.

Money was the least of my concerns. Dillon was was well endowed in that department, but that wasn't what kept me there. I can't say I was tempted by the job offer either. Dinosaurs sounded better than zombies, but looking back in picture books as a child - Well... Lets just say there are probably reptiles there to stay away from.

I didn't enjoy being sent places to clean up after other people's messes, Raccoon had killed that. But it was what Dillon did, and I wanted to be with him. If that entailed hauling my ass off to Dinotopia, then so be it.

Our relationship was hard to figure but in a sense it was plain as day...There was an attraction, but neither of us would admit there was anything more. Maybe not because there wasn't, but because neither of us could voice it... who knew?

I was content with what I had, and I wasn't going to ask for more unless he was more than ready to give it.

It worked, so I didn't complain.

He'd pulled the Rover up to the plane and we got out in time to see the crew finishing up some last minute work.

Dillon had headed into the hanger's office to do something, so I tagged along to see him dialing up on the phone. "Yeah, It's Dillon - Listen I need a secure link channel, data on the sight - mission paramaters. Yeah.. we be connecting in about 10... right... who else is coming? Really? Yes I recognize the name. May be same guy. We'll see." With that, he hung up the phone.

"He's arriving at LAX - have him brought here vice any other flight'. Yes, reroute his luggage here too." Dillon looked over to me, "Might well be the same guy? Small damn world huh?"

He smiled and took my hand, leading me to the Jet.

Once we were on, there was a gathering of the captian and an attendant, who brought something up. You didn't have to be a genius to be able to tell that it was updated, a newer piece of equipment with it's large, flat, panel high definition moniter.

Dillon turned on over to me,"Lets start looking at the site and what we can expect to see there."

I shook my head with a mock salute, "Yes sir... I thought I knew why they all treated you like a god or something out here, but I highly doubted that you would sleep with all these people... How long have you been workin' this shift, Cowboy?"

I entered the large terminal, my head held high, and a small Starbucks styrofoam cup in my hand.

"Mr. Summers, I presume?" A large man in a black suit asked me. Another that seemed to mimick him exactly stood at his side.

"Yes," I replied hesitently. These guys seemed like they ment business.

"Come with us, please."

I only nodded as one of the men reached for my backpack. I turned away immeadetly, his hand hanging in the air for a moment before returning to his side.

They took me down to a small area where they escorted me through a corridor that led back outside. But we were on the tarmac now, and the roar of jets and mighty prop engines filled the air. The un-forgetable smell of old diesel fuel lingering through the area.

"In here," The oringinal man who had addressed me said.

They led me inside the small hangar. Actaully, it wasn't that small, but still just large enough to hold a private jet or two.

There was only one private jet there this time, but it was being fueled and prepped for what seemed like take-off.

I raised a eyebrow as a questioning look crossed my face. A quirked smile crossed my parched lips as I made my way closer to the small jet.

"Traveling in style..."

These boys at InGen really knew how to treat me. I didn't think they'd go through all this just for me...

But then again, I was the First Chair of Paleontology for the Dean of the Sciences of AU. And if that was good enough for them, it was good enough for me.

~ Dillon ~ 07

She shook her head with a mock salute, "Yes sir... I thought I knew why they all treated you like a god or something out here, but I highly doubted that you would sleep with all these people... How long have you been workin' this shift, Cowboy?"

I looked at her.. Had I heard what I'd just heard correctly? Or was she saying something different?

My heart broke to give her the answer:
"Ya know Saria - The people I work for have two things in abundance - 'Money and Power'
And they work hard using both to gain only two things: 'Money and Power'."

"When things go wrong, they stand to loose lots of Money and/or Power.
So they hire me to limit their losses. Its simple.
I use their power and their money to control their losses, and I make a good living doing it.
A very good living."

"This is a jet owned by a common group of corporations and the government. I use it when I need it.
No questions asked.
I have a badge, a government badge. Even though I'm 'retired' the badge isn't.
It's coded into govenment systems and corporations alike so I can get to the data I need to solve their problems.
Its a good arrangement - they like their privacy, I like mine. We each respect that"

"Most of these people we encounter don't really know who I am or what I do.
They do what I ask because they know the guys on top want it that way.

These people don't know me.
They wouldn't have ice cream with me on the beach or let me play with their kids in the pool.
I scare em. I do things that they don't want to think about in the dark of night.
But if thats what it takes to make it easier, to do the job easier... fine.
But it doesn't make it easier to swallow."

"As for how long I been cleaning up these messes? Seems like all my life..
But remember, I don't cause em. I just clean em up.
And if I do it well enough, the good people of the world like those in the hanger,
never know how close hell came to them."

I looked at her... her eyes got big and round.
I'd just said more to her aboout the substance of my life than she'd heard in the last three months combined.

Maybe I'd shocked her. Maybe it was the tension. Dinosaurs have big teeth.
I didn't want to think about them chomping on her.

I looked at her.. her smile had faded.
I had no idea what was running through her mind. only what was in mine.
I'd finally come to care for someone, and she'd shoved my life's work through my chest.
like a giant spider claw...

"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said any of that" I muttered, I got up and went to the open door of the plane.
Looking out.. waiting for the arrival of Brian.

As I stepped aboard the fresh plane, the scent of strong pine immeadetly filled my nose. It was an overwhelimg smell and seemed to turn everything down a little.

As I made my way towards the back of the plain- it wasn't that big- I saw two figures sitting across from each other. Two familliar figures... Two familiar faces...

Visions of old shot through my head as I suddenly was over-powered by memories that should have been destroyed by now...

The dead, rotting corpes. The horrible patterns of blood etched into the life-less walls. The grey mood that seemed to consume everything and leave without a trace.

Oh God... Why did I come?

"Saria? Dillon?"

~Travis~

The car had started, and I was caught in the back, hiding behind a chest full of guns.

Mr. D was talking very flirtatiously with some woman in the car with him. I couldn't get a good glimpse of her though, the gun chest was in the way.

The car came to a stop, presumably at a stoplight, I grabbed the seat in an attempt to swiftly and silently get out of the car. Unfortunatly, the car accelerated and the gun chest slid back, slamming my hand between it and the seat.

I took my other hand and bit down on it hard to keep my from shouting in pain. Not only did I was my left arm still bleeding, but now the hand was being crushed!

The car pulled to a stop and was turned off. Mr. D would be in shortly and find me hiding in his backseat...

I saw the slightly open lid to another trunk full of dehydrated food, I curled myself up and hid inside, slamming the lid shut.

Things were just going from bad to worse...

My eyes were wide in disbelief. Not only was that the most I'd heard him say about what his life was made up of in the past three months, but it made several things seem to fit into place about him.

Don't get me wrong, it sounded like one hell of a job. Lonely as hell. Sort of hard to find someone when everyone either cowers away in fear, or does whatever the hell you tell them to because of your place in the scheme of things.

Then came Raccoon City. Why bother finding someone outside the job, when you can find someone trapped in it?

My smile had faded. What I'd meant to be a teasing remark about how good he was off duty had warped into what he did for a living. And that didn't seem to make him very thrilled.

"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said any of that." Dillon muttered as he got up and walked to the open door of the plane, his eyes gazing outside.

After a moment or so, he came back and sat down across from me though his eyes never wandered in my direction.

There were footsteps as someone approached the back of the plane, both of us looked over to see who it was.

The person advanced but while they were still out of earshot, I leaned over towards Dillon and whispered, "I'm in this for the bonus... No matter what he does for a living."

"Saria? Dillon?" Brian had said.

Before Dillon had a chance to reply, I stood up. A partial smirk dancing across my features as my eyes found the man standing a few feet off,"Brian... Brian Summers... Well I'll be damned."

~ Dillon ~ 08

Shortly after reseating myself a new set of footfalls indicated someone had boarded.

I think I really looked up because I wasn't ready to look at Saria. I still felt naked.
Saria leaned over and whispered: "I'm in this for the bonus... No matter what he does for a living."
Saria had let me huff, and it was ok.
She's a Great Gal.. Did I ever tell you she's a great gal?

Then she stood up and said "Brian... Brian Summers... Well I'll be damned."

I quickly got up also and moved forward.
nudging Saria with an elbow I said:
"Saria - I'd say we were damned the last time." then said
"Brian.. - Good to see you, how are you? The knees?"

I wasn't going to discuss the other wounds.
The scars to the mind and soul that got reopened every other night with the nightmares.

Brian looked like he slept at night..
However many drugs it might take.

Saria stood up. "Brian... Brian Summers... Well I'll be damned."

Dillon stood up next to her, knudging her slightly.

"Saria - I'd say we were damned the last time." then he said
"Brian.. - Good to see you, how are you? The knees?"

Wow, I hadn't expected this one. Small ****ing world, huh?

"Great, and the gimp?" I asked sarcasticly. "I see your arm is better Saria."

I smiled at the two. They looked nice together. Guess they were a couple now, huh? Garsh, who didn't see that one coming?

I took a place one row behind their seats, ploping my back pack in the aile as I sat bat in the re-clining chair.

Just as I did so, a tall man in a black suit stepped aboard. Looked important...

"Hello," he said mildly. I could tell he was about to start off on a long conversastion about our trip, so I snuggled my head into my bent arms as my legs were propped up onto a small stool that appeared from the chair's bottom.

Ever since Raccoon City, I had mellowed out. I never took anything to seriouslly, I never freaked out. Quite different from what you would expect.

So-- the man's on-going blabber faided out as my concentration fell else-where.

Damn knees...

"Great, and the gimp?" Brian asked sarcastically "I see your arm is better Saria."

I nodded a bit, still mentally in recoil from his gimp remark towards Dillon. Someone was working on their sarcasm. Two can play at that game.

Of all people, I didn't expect him to be perky and supportive of whatever went on between Dillon and myself, but he'd seemed something less than spiteful, but more than mellow.

Brian took his seat, Dillon took his, and I took mine. In Dillon's lap. He was probably baffled by that, seeing as how I had my own seat right next to his... but I didn't want to sit there.

Wasn't as comfortable. I never did like flying, so I figured I may as well make the best of it. Had the seatbelt sign flashed on, I would have pulled Dillon's arms around me.

But it was a small plane. Didn't really have a seatbelt sign. Just a person who checked to see if you had yours on. They were too freaked out by Dillon to give a damn about where I sat or weather or not I was buckled in.

With a pout, I leaned my bead back against his shoulder, sinking down into his lap. "How long is this flight supposed to be?" I groaned.

Dillon replied, but I was too distracted to pay attention. Someone had come back to our part of the plane. Her face made something in my memory scream with recognition.

Her long dark hair caught my attention and I sat up straighter in Dillon's lap to see over the seats, trying to satisfy my curiosity. "No way.." I whispered.

"What?" Dillon asked immediately as though something had gone wrong. I stood up, my eyes wide once again due to disbelief, "Raven?"

~Raven~

The day had been long. Ok not really. I was asleep for most of the day but come on now You'd sleep too if you were trying to put your upcoming job out of your mind.

I sighed a bit as the taxi cab came to an abrubt halt knocking me out of whatever petty thoughts might have been coming to mind. I paid the fare and got out as quickly as I could manage. I'd been sitting for to long and needed to streach.

What I saw before me was a very small plane. Well you can't knock it when it's a private plane. Plus I hadn't had to pay for this trip. You don't pay for things when your not even sure you'll come back alive. What a comforting thought that was... I thought to myself somewhat bitterly.

I took a deep breath as I put my bag over my shoulder. The day had been long and I had a feeling it was just going to get longer. I slowly made my way onto the plane placing my bag at the foot of my seat.

"Raven?" That voice. I knew that voice. Slolwy I turned around fliping my dark blue-black hair over my shoulder, unable to sit down untill I knew for sure what my gut was screaming at me.

There was no way in hell. It couldn't possibly be. A face from my past was what I saw before me. "Saria.." I whipered her name. It had to be a dream.

I had fallen asleep in the cab and nothing had really happened yet. I had to be dreaming. Either that or.."Am I loseing my mind?" I asked myself as my fingers quickly found a spot on my hand and pinched.

Ow. Pain. Not a dream. This is real. It can't be real. The fates had put us together on some crazy mission. "Goddess.." Was the last thing to leave lips as i stood next to my seat, stareing. There was nothing else I could do.

OOC: I hope that's ok.. It's 5:30AM no sleep, cant spell, cant think, cant type but hopefully that looks good.

I smiled slightly though I was thinking a million things as I flopped back down into the seat. Only unfortunate was, I'd forgotten that the seat was Dillon's lap. He made a grunt, but otherwise no complaints. But I have to admit, the compleatly confused look that crossed his features made him look so cute.

This can't be real...

"Goddess.." Raven said as she stood next to her seat staring. It took her a few minutes, but she eventually sat down as the attendant made a second round giving me a stern look.

"We need you to get situated in your own seat before we can take off, Ma'am." They said.

I sighed and nodded, Crawling over Dillon into my seat and buckled up only to look over at Raven once again. Without realizing I was thinking out loud, I whispered, "But she's supposed to be..."

I stopped myself, but Dillon leaned over and whispered in my ear, "Supposed to be what?"

Turning my attention over to him, trying not to make my expression show how I was feeling I replied.

"Dead."

~Raven~

I sat down after a moment. Only because the I was told to.

My life had been as normal as it could have been for the past fifteen years. I had gone through my grieving stage.

I glanced back for a moment staring at Saria yet again. It was impossible.

She's dead. She was dead. I know I hadn't actually seen a body. I hadn't seen what they did to her. But. I knew she had died. I had known it for years.

All of the sudden I wasn't sure what was going on. She had been my dearest friend. She had been the one person who had always been there for me. She was like my sister. Yet I knew she had died that day.

Does she look dead? No she looks very much alive.. I thought with mockery. Alive..She was..Alive... Things had just gotten very, very strange.

"As if things weren't messy enough this had to be put into the loop.." I muttered to myself.

Nothing seemed real anymore. Everything was too..Bizare..

Alive? How could this be?

First Zombies. Then I was told Dinosaurs... Now people were comming back from the dead?

How the hell...? You had to have died that day. There was no way you could have gotten away, Raven... They told me you were dead... My thoughts whispered as I looked over at her.

She had been my sister... If not by blood, then by friendship. Fifteen years had passed since I last saw her, and yet... She looked the same. My memories of the day we last saw eachother were faint. So many times I had tried to forget...

It was one of those things you just didn't want to remember. Someone trying to hurt your friend, then dragging you off to try and silence your screams... forever. I remember the blood, lord knows there was plenty of that. Clearly I remembered breaking free and trying to find her. Trying to help her, only to be grabbed once again and thrown into a car.

After that, my memory faded. I knew what happened, but I didn't want to remember it... God, we were only kids when it happened...

I thought it was behind me, the past. It seems everytime I thought that, it jumped up out of nowhere to get back at me. Seeing her alive brought back memories, good and bad.

I didn't realize I'd been crying until Dillon brought his hand up, using his fingers to turn my head towards him, "You alright?" He asked softly.

Smiling as best as I could, I nodded.
"I'm fine..."

I coundn't help watching Saria.

I also wished that I had known she'd been alive. Sure I hadn't seem to much crazy sh*t since that day those many years ago. That day that had haunted me for awhile before I decided to push everything out of my mind.

The hardest day of my life had been the day I had lost her. I stoped caring. Stoped feeling much of anything. Saria... I thought her name once as I turned back to face the front of the plane.

I had seen the tears. I knew that she was hurting as much as I was. Mixed feelings. Questions unanswered, yet..What could I do? There was nothing I could say to her right now.

Comfort.

Not one of my best qualities when it's a tough situation.

In the past I had been a very compassionate person. I cared for everyone.

When I lost her. When she died. I lost everything. Now she was alive again?

I sighed heavily closing my eyes. My mind wandering through every question I had. Yet All I could do was think the same things. It was impossible. Yet, What I saw in front of me was real.

Did life always have to deal these types of blows?

When everything was quiet, I tried to open the lid to the chest I was hiding in. The room I was in was dark, and loaded with other bags and such.
I tried to open the lid again, but it was jammed. While I was forcing it to open, The room began to shake. There was a loud, whining sound. The room was shaking so violently, I had to shut the lid in fear something might fall on me.

The good news, the shaking stopped.
The bad news, the room started to slant.

The chest I was in and I slid across the floor with the rest of the bags, sliding, sliding, until I hit the end of the room with a bang.

What was going on!?!

I locked the lid of the trunk and hoped it would all be over quickly.

~ Saria Halliwell ~

After a moment, I'd gathered myself back together. It was a slap in the face though. Thinking someone was dead for so long only to have them come back out of nowhere.

I'd gotten myself under control and made myself as comfortable as I could in the seat that wasn't as near cozy as Dillon's lap was. Poor Dillon... If I ever got enough courage or stability to repeat what had happened on that day out loud, I'd tell him. Until then, he'd be in the dark.

Raven and I had a lot of catching up to do...

I sighed as the jet rumbled and shook making it's way down the makeshift runway before tilting up into take off. It took a short while, but we were up in the air in no time flat. Flying smooth and easy yet at the same time tearing through the wind.

I didn't know how long to expect the flight to last, but I never really enjoyed flying all that much. So I leaned my head on over to rest on Dillon's shoulder proceeded by the mental singing of Bingo.
