It seems there is a pill for everything these days. If people are sad, they take a pill to be happy. If they are tired, they take a pill to be awake, and so on and so forth. I know a little girl who is medicated because she is too hyperactive for her mom. I know this girl well enough to know that her behavior before the medication was normal. I would have never considered her hyperactive. Now she barely eats anything and she's turned into a somber child; not the bright and happy child I knew before. Keep in mind that the child is four years old. I can't help but feel a little put off by her mother for putting her daughter on these meds. What do you think? Are parents going overboard with the medicating option?
