Maboroshi at Risingsun.net has been doing official photography for Metro and other Florida cons for a while and even has a link to his site on the forums, etc yet lately when trying to access his website I get a religious website.
I'm sorry if this is in the wrong folder, I really didn't know where to put it, but does anyone have any clue as to what's up? I'm curious and google has produced no help.

by the looks of it either his domain registry expired and this church bought it up, or he sold the domain off. I can easily understand, I was pretty close to letting my domain lapse this year as well due to tight finances.

He's been talking about retiring for a long time because of his hands, and this just means he finally did. That's his flower picture. It's his call to link to the Christian website (of which he's ALWAYS had linked on his site).
I personally wish him the best.

He retired from photography. He has severe tendonitis on his hands. He's fine, but he said he was going to pull the site down.

I was wondering about this. I was trying to show someone pictures from previous metro years and it was a bunch of fail. But I wish him the best anyhow.

Maboroshi gave us all of the old METROCON photos. Once we have the gallery system worked out they will all be up again.

Julie already said as much concerning how the site is now.
One thing I loved was that he was religious, but he was very tolerant of other opinions. I have had many a friendly debate about differences in opinions concerning random subjects, and he always respected that. ^^
He's a great guy.

I guess I am also wondering when the pictures are going up. It seems the conversation started about it 2 year ago. If it helps I run an ISP I could hose the pictures here in the same setup RisingSun.Net had if you have the HTML code. I have the complete sets of code for 2003 thru 2008, 2011 but not 2009, 2010, or 2012.
