This is not you average keyboard. This keyboard is called the Optimus Maximus OLED Keyboard. OLED stands for organic light emitting diodes which is far better than LCD. Each keys of the keyboard has a thin piece of OLED so really any key on the keyboard can change into anything really. Huzzah!

youtube Mmm...

Article over the OLED keyboard.

This would be extremely bad for me. I'd never look at my computer screen ever. I'd be completely and utterly transfixed on my keyboard.

Yes, it's kinda cool, but to quote Roy years ago when I said I'd buy a Crayon Shin-chan tv laserdisc boxset if they ever came out with one (which would be a few thousand $): "That would be SUCH a waste of money.

I'm not particularly concerned with impressing computer geeks with flashy lights on a freakin keyboard.

I could buy a nice HDTV for slightly more than that.

I could buy a good used prosumer camcorder like the one used to shoot most of "28 Days Later".

I could buy quite a few Criterion dvds.

There are lots of things I'd much rather do with that amount of money.

If I'm gonna pay $1500 for a keyboard, it better say Sequential Circuits on the side of it...or Moog or Oberheim or Roland, etc. For 2 of these gimmicky keyboards I could buy a Yamaha XS8 and use it to compose a film score for one of the indie horror films I want to make. I could buy a Mac to edit a film on. I could buy a decent practice marimba for slightly more than $1500.

There are a lot of creative activities I'd rather fund with $1500 than buy a stupid OLED keyboard. If someone gave me one, I'd ebay it and use the money for a synth or camcorder or HDTV or a Mac (for music/art/film) or buy a lot of dvds.

Brightlights were so much fun! But I could never create a pretty flower or what ever with one -___-

But that is getting off topic. :]

HURAH FOR PRETTY KEYBOARDS! :3

I WANT ITTTT

If I owned that thing, I doubt I'd touch it.. I'd just stare at it and watch it change colors like "oooooh.... ahhhhh" :3

But what I want is a touch screen, screen equipped with a rainbow what ever that thing is keyboard!! Now THAT... I'd pay that kinda money for xD

Too much coin, Can we say early adopters? The first thing I look for in a keyboard is comfortable keys since whether coding or writing fiction sagas. I think the current Mac laptops have LCD for the keyboard. One day they'll come down in price and eventually be standard though. I still want one, if only for the rainbow colors displaying, so pretty.

Just seems like an over-expensive way to amuse someone of low intelligence, with a few handy features. -= Shrugs =-

That would be so incredibly convenient. There are so many keys on this keyboard that I would rather replace with something else.

Now all we need is an affordable price....

...ahaha..yeah, that's not gonna happen for, like, ten years.

Oh my. Oh my, oh my, oh my.
Look at the shiny. =DDD

(I would probably want it once I actually had the think, but I'm not sure I could get past spending that much money. :\ )

I don't know anything about this stuff.

But I love the colors <3

Ahhh. I'd probably end up breaking it, not on purpose of course...but because technology is evil to me even if I love it :(...

Yay for super expensively awesome keyboard!

I believe the same company is working on one that's a touch screen keybaord. It looks like it can change from having keys to full video right on the board. At that rate, the keybaord will be configuratble to be almost anything.
