From the author of the Lodoss novels you’d expect another serious swords & sorcery epic…but you’d be wrong in this case. Twinkle Trick…like magic. Here’s a good example why parents shouldn’t try to make their kids follow in their footsteps to take over the family business—they just may embarrass you. Karweiss is leader of the Sorcerer’s Guild, but his son Louie is a big dumb thug, make that big dumb oversexed incompetent thug. Sad or annoying IRL but makes for a great anime in the same vein as other Swords & Sorcery comedies (read: Slayers). High STR + low INT = ‘mage’ kohousei janai. 1 beautiful lady cleric, 1 cute thief girl & 1 beefy swordswoman need a sorcerer to round out their adventuring party…even if only to open doors for these ladies. With no available female sorcerers in town, a ‘pervert’ literally falls into the job. Sometimes the Goddess Myrii likes to throw you a big challenge…or maybe she just has a sense of humor. The girls probably think the town of Orphan might be better off if someone stabbed this sorcerer. He needs to learn that a staff is more suited to casting spells than causing blunt force trauma. |
