'Bemani' is the truncated version of the words 'BeatMania' Why? Cuz the Japanese love abbreviating words apparently even more than I do. It describes a very popular series of music-based arcade games made by Konami.

DJ-BASED:
Beat Mania

DANCE-BASED:
Dance Dance Revolution
Dance Maniax
Para Para Paradise

MUSIC-BASED:
Pop'n Music

INSTRUMENT-BASED:
Drum Mania
Guitar Freaks
Keyboard Mania
Mambo a Go Go

Many of these games have several versions in existence (plus some of them have even further variations made for home gaming consoles like Playstation, PS2 and Dreamcast).

This section of Metro will be a constant work-in-progress. While researching Bemani games for my own interest, I found that there were several great sites that go into a lot of detail on various aspects of Bemani...but not really one main place to find all the information quickly on all the different Bemani games (unless you're fluent in Japanese). This is what I will ATTEMPT to do here.
I will do my best to get pictures of as many of the arcade cabinets as possible (though some of the older models will be hard to find), as well as song lists and other info with a links section for those wishing to know more detail on specific aspects of these popular games.
