Great fun psycho-wacky-crazy comedy! Want a crash course in Tokyo Girl pop culture? Want to learn some cool gals street slang? Well Ran Kotobuki can help. She is the self-proclaimed Queen of GALS, in-famous for terrorizing Shibuya. If it wasn’t for some unwanted help from her family, she would probably get into a lot more trouble. Of course half the reason she’s looking for trouble is to avoid becoming a cop like everyone in her family. She’s kinda fun to hang around once in a while, too bad she doesn’t always think before she acts (hopefully she doesn’t own a pair of raver pants with a big pink star). But like most cool people, Kotobuki is a slave to fashion & has a habit of making up her own abbreviations. Almost forgot—the on-screen clock guy in Japan just got worse…
(NOTE: This on-screen clock thing is apparently something done by certain Japanese TV stations and has appeared on many Saturday morning shoujo series in Japan. The only way around it is to get these shows on LD or nowadays on DVD -- which is the way I plan to buy this fun series since the fansubbers are extremely slow [3 eps in the past 6 months] and it will probably never get licensed.)
