DI GI CHARAT TV 1-16
synopsis by Jareth David
(from J.U.R.A.I.'s Necronomicon 2000 Anime Guide)

This 16 episode show is made up of 4 minute long episodes starring Digiko, Puchiko & Rabi-en-Rose, the mascots for Gamers, a hobby shop in Japan. That describes the basic plot also, just throw in a few really frighteningly devoted bukimi otaku to the mix. Sure some people will see the character designs for this show and assume it’s some derivative cutesy shojo crap…but they’d be dead wrong. Sure the lead characters are cute, but the stories are really demented and filled with bathroom humor. The kind of lowball stuff that might amuse people who would proclaim ‘Dumb & Dumber’ a cinematic masterpiece on par with a Merchant Ivory production. Opening theme "Only One No. 1" by Masami Okui is so addictive I wasn’t annoyed hearing it every 4 minutes while I watched this series. The "Party Night" song in ep 15 is kinda addictive too. (NOTE: addictive enough for me to put both of them on the CDs I played at the Anime House party for My Reality opening in Tampa in April 2002 -nyo)
