Ninja Mono (Ninja Cadets)

'Ninja Cadets’ is the title for the US release. This show just screams of his style that I could have sworn this was by Akahori (KO Seiki Beast) Satoru, though he’s not listed in the credits. Ever since the capture of Byakuro Castle by the Kabusu ninja clan (not to mention the killing of almost all its inhabitants), the princess has been in hiding with among a clan of ninjas with her protector Kaoru. Sakura & the frog-fearing Matsuri have a fierce rivalry (not completely unlike that which exists between a couple of twins I know). What better chance to settle it than the ‘test’ of infiltrating Byakuro Castle to retrieve some ancient scrolls? Then there’s Yume, the other female ninja-in-training, who just wants to settle down with Kaoru. One of the three girls is the princess thereby making her the target for the Kabusu ninja who’ve been searching for her and their sorcerer Matsuzaka will put all his summoning skills to use to capture her. It won’t be too easy getting past the giant steam-powered robot either!
