Marmalade Boy movie
synopsis by Jareth David (from J.U.R.A.I.'s Necronomicon 1998 Anime Guide)
This takes place at the same time as episode #1, only this time we get to see things from Yuu’s point of view. Don’t let his demeanor fool you! He cares very deeply for Miki and fell for her before she ever met him. The day before their 1st official meeting, Yuu pretty much stalked this cute girl (who just turned out to be his future stepsister) while she was playing tennis and playing with the local kids who call themselves ‘Gastaman’ (an absolute riot which deserves its own series). Learn the truth about the feelings which Yuu usually tries so hard to conceal.
Marmalade Boy TV 05-20
synopsis by Jareth David (from J.U.R.A.I.'s Necronomicon 1998 Anime Guide)
We finally got to show my favorite anime last year, but (in a devious attempt to draw people into the plot) I did something evil and showed MB #1-4 following it the next day with #38-41. It was a HUGE leap in continuity (but I really loved the romantic ending to those X-mas episodes). Lots of people wondered what happened in the interim and probably wanted me beaten, so I decided this year to pick up at #5 through #20 (at which time Miki still misunderstands the relationship between Yuu & Satoshi Miwa). Episode #20 was the best place to end it. Every time I tried to find a cutoff spot it was in the middle of a major cliffhanger (isn’t EVERY episode?). Now you can fill in some of the blanks that were missing last year. You’ll get to see Ginta pining over Miki, Rokutanda pathetically pining over Arimi, Miwa pursuing Meiko, and the discovery at Tohryu H.S. of Meiko’s scandalous relationship which causes quite a commotion among the students…I guess Miki doesn’t know her best friend as well as she thought…
Marmalade Boy TV 21-24
synopsis by Jareth David (from J.U.R.A.I.'s Necronomicon 19998 Anime Guide)
My favorite anime series returns for a 3rd year at Necro by popular demand! MB has developed a rabid cult following and I intend to do all in my power to encourage such behavior. The basic story (for those of you who weren’t paying attention) is Miki Koishikawa’s parents return from a cruise deciding to swap partners with the Yuu Matsuura’s parents. They all move into one big house and their children begin secretly falling in love with most of the supporting characters trying to split them up to get Miki or Yuu for themselves. Miki receives emotional support counsel from her Scorpio best friend Meiko Akizuki. The series is very true to the feelings of high school students falling in and out of love.
These episodes continue where we left off last year. In the aftermath of the race, Miki is still harbor
